Siemens lays the foundation for new Technology Campus in Erlangen.
Siemens launches flagship project of the 'Made for Germany' initiative.
Today, Siemens, together with representatives from politics and industry, laid the foundation stone for the new Siemens Technology Campus in Erlangen. The campus is a flagship project within the framework of the “Made for Germany” initiative and will further strengthen Germany’s position as a business location—particularly in the field of power electronics.
“Made for Germany” brings together leading companies and investors across industries to support a strong, successful, and future-oriented economy in Germany.
By 2027, the first phase of the campus will see the construction of a state-of-the-art center for logistics, service, and flexible automation on a site covering approximately 7,000 square meters—the size of a football field. The facility will accommodate up to 300 employees.
In the next phase, by 2030, Siemens plans to build a development and innovation center for power electronics, along with additional production areas. The site will focus on developing the next generation of converters and controllers, designed to control the movements of systems and machines even faster, more precisely, and more efficiently.
